NASCAR: William Byron

This is one of my favorite, long-running projects. For two seasons, I was the primary designer working on NASCAR driver William Byron’s partnership with Liberty University and Hendrick Motor Sports. I did everything from mood boarding and overseeing our annual photoshoot with him and his car to designing the car wraps and fire suit. Throughout the season I would provide print material for fans at the track, populate social ads, design landing pages, and create additional promotional content..

In addition to the regular season cars, I also provided the design for a patriotic Memorial Day car and a throwback design. All of these designs have been available as die casts through the NASCAR website.

In the fall of 2021, I had the privilege of experiencing a race day in person and seeing my car live. Not only did I say hello to William Byron, but I also met the legendary Jeff Gordon. My husband and I had been given VIP passes to the pit at the track in Martinsville and so we got the grand tour! We stood on the track with the team as the national anthem was sung and were mere feet away from the crew as they changed Byron’s tires during the race. Truly one of the best days of my life.
